Guided Meditative Pleasure Walk

Looking to get into meditation, but finding it hard to sit and Be Still?

You are not alone! This was 100% me too!

When I first started, I would squirm around after 2 minutes, then when my body finally allowed for stillness for 10 minutes my brain would appear with the endless “To-Do” list.

What was never on the to-do list was my own human needs like: exercise, walk, meditate, call for a wellness check up or massage.

It was always things like my kids appointments, their school calendar, our family grocery list, emails that I needed to answer for work, clients I wasn’t “fixing” and what was I doing wrong as a mom, a manager and a wife. Oh and the cluttered house chores that “needed” to get done.

Once I started to become aware of significant stress (my clear sign was significant weight gain along with a no longer normal period) I began meditating.

But getting myself to sit still (hyper active + painful tailbone and hip) was challenging!

However, I’m up for most challenges so I decided to take on this 10 minute challenge to reduce my stress.

Here’s an article from MayoClinic about meditation and stress

I worked through this discomfort each day and eventually got there, and what I can tell you is I had a very strong awareness of my to-do list. It did not necessary help me with recognizing my general vibe for the day, but it did help me get still, quiet and simply notice total silence and a beautiful darkness. It helped me to ground and BE.

Now, with all the years of training, I meditate in moments and may only need a few minutes to drop in, ground myself and notice what I am feeling, but this took a few years of training, not only with apps, but with my coaches guiding me and teaching me along the way. For I was not emotionally intelligent and I needed support to get there, so I could begin to recognize I was a HUMAN with emotions that were more than happiness and Anger (yep, I am human that also experiences sadness, fear, peace and power, but I didn’t know to access these emotions).

I want to share this, because I do believe the meditation practice that has evolved over these 7 years was essential to understanding my stress and improving my emotional intelligence.

I wish I knew when I started that I didn’t have to be still! I wish I knew it was normal to want to move.

Often, when I ask people, who are struggling with pain from stress, and I ask about meditaiton, their answer is usually, I can’t sit still long enough.

Well, if that is you, and you are a little bit curious about meditation, this is why I created this 7 minute guided meditation pleasure walk. Because you do not have to sit still. You CAN move!

To guide you into your present and help to ground you in the here and now. Reduce the noise of the dreaded to-do list and start to notice how your body is feeling and responding to life.

You do not always have to be still. Simply slowing down and being present and here is absolutely enough.

If you are looking to trail a walking meditation, I offer you this, my 7 minute guided audio.
